I love old postcards, and what a treasure that you found one with a perfect saying! We just got back into the swing of our homeschool schedule after the holidays, so this is a timely theme!

wht a great find. Imagine when someone else come upon it in another 100 years? The statement will still be relevant.
My favorite subject? English, so I could have an excuse to read all day.

That postcard is stunning - as I might have mentioned before - you have the BEST thrift and antique shops near you! I don't really have a favourite subject now - I just love learning about everything - I think I would make a much better student now than I ever was as a child!
Have a lovely day x

Aren't those old postcards the sweetest? I love the 1 cent stamps! I actually made a flag book to hold my vintage postcard collection, I will try to find a picture. There are instructions on how to make one up on my blog if you want to try your own!

Hmm...my favorite subject in school was, and still is, art!

Funnily enough, I absolutely hated needlework at school. Now I love it, and even did a PhD on needlework in literature and art!

History without a doubt now that I am out of school. I love reading about the American Indians and the old West as well as all about British history. What a combination :) Suggested reading: Bury my Heart at Wounded Knee by Dee Brown, One Thousand White Women: The Journals of May Dodd by Jim Fergus, Mary Cole, Countess of Berkeley by Hope Costley-White....there are SO many more.

Ah there is nothing more beautiful than a gorgeous old postcard. It's such a shame sometimes that we are so technologically advanced. I love a handwritten letter or postcard and often will just send hello's out in the post. There is nothing nicer to get something lovely in the post rather than all yukky bills! Have a lovely day and week! xxx

Gosh yes. I love history now. I think it would have helped at school if we'd studied British history! Something that was more relevant.
